The Difference Between Having A Website And One That Makes Money PLUS: If Tim Ferriss & Tony Robbins Had A Baby

Ok…..You found your niche…..you launched your website….aaaaaand…..wait for it…crickets…. no sales…weak sales….crappy sales….you know what I’m talking about. Not much happened.

Why?

In short, having a website (blog) really doesn’t mean sh*t in the whole scheme of things. So what does? Well, here’s how I approached it philosophically.

I thought….if Tony Robbins & Tim Ferriss, gave birth to a successful internet entrepreneur, what would he or she do with no sales? That’s kinda weird, I know. But stay with me here.

Tony would probably say, “go find people who don’t have this problem and ask them what they’re doing”. Tim would probably say, “20% of websites are making 80% of the money, go ask them what they’re doing”. So, in a nutshell they would both be sort of saying the same thing.

So here’s what I did….

I asked my friends to email me any websites that they purchased products from. I then sent an email to the website owner and asked them if I could interview them. Some said yes and some said no. A** holes! Just kidding…I get it, people are busy. Most people were totally cool about it and wanted to help out.

I then asked a Tony Robbins question…

What is the “strategy” that all the website owners had in common which accounted for their success? In other words…you could bake the world’s best chocolate cake as long as you knew the recipe. So what was their “recipe” (strategy)?

In no time I started to see the common threads. I was able to see that what they were doing, I was not. It soon became abundantly clear why I had the problem of no sales and they didn’t.

I then asked a Tim Ferriss question…

What are the 20% of successful internet entrepreneurs doing that the other 80% are not?

It literally started to jump of the page for me. I decided to eliminate 80% of the things that I was doing with my websites and replace it with what the top 20% were doing. In almost no time things began to really change.

Here’s what I did…..

I recorded all these interviews and put them into one product called “Jet Set Money ADVANCED”. I’m placing the finishing touches on it now. It should be ready in about a week or so.

Make Your First $100 Bucks Online

I think we make the process of making money online way to complicated. Let’s start off with a simple goal like making $100 bucks this month with your first website. I know that’s not much money. But, the lessons you’ll learn during the process will prove invaluable.

The first thing I recommend is finding something that you are SUPER passionate about. Trust me on this. It’s important for many reasons. The biggest reason, if you like something, the passion will just come through.

Next, get a free word press account and just start blogging. Start sharing tips, strategies and your passion for the niche that your in. I don’t care what the space is. There will be people who will want to learn from you.

Next, start a free podcast where you can interview other people in your niche. People love to connect to who YOU are. They need to feel your energy. A podcast is beautiful that way.

Finally, create a product that answers what the biggest frustration your niche has. Every niche has a problem or frustration. It doesn’t matter if the frustration is how to be thinner, richer or how to grow bigger tomatoes. Every niche has one. Find it and answer the frustration for them.

How I Turned 1 Niche Site Into 30

I’ve been asked a lot who trained me when I first started out with our online businesses. I used Niche Profit Classroom. If you really have NO clue where to begin they are definitely the ones to use for training.

They have laid their training out in very simple, easy to understand, bite size chunks. They take you from the basics of how to do proper market research, right on up to how to find your first niche. They even give you step by step instructions on how to physically set up your first website.

I wouldn’t say that it was the easiest training I’ve ever done. It was work. No question. I buried my head in a coffee shop for months watching videos, reading forums and completing all my assignments. But, in the end I knew what I was doing. Now, I have over 30 websites that produce monthly income.

If you already have a website, they may not be the best place for you to start. It just may be too basic. But, if you’re brand new and need some hand holding – use them. In fact, I did a Webinar with them to show you how their whole system works. Here’s the Webinar.

The feature I loved most about the program is their “niche packs”. Let’s say that you haven’t a clue which niche to get into. As part of your membership, they will send you a new niche pack (each month) which you could use to begin creating your first few niche sites.

These niche packs are pre-researched niches. They include everything from a market research report, all the way to the actual digital product. Yep. Everything you need to launch your first site and start making money. Some of these niches you may be interested in and some of them you may not (like how to grow tomatoes or something).

So there you have it. That’s how I started and I highly recommend getting Niche Profit Classroom!
