Nightlife In Buenos Aires is incomparable with many other cities as there is so much to do there and there is certain flavor that cannot be found elsewhere. The tango bars are usually full up with people reveling the evening away. Most people eat out late a bout 23h00 and this is typically Latin. Many people visit the outdoor coffee shops after supper and sip coffee while watching people stroll by. Many of the discos only begin to vibe at about 02h00.
A few years back more than one hundred and ninety people died in a fire at a disco and this caused the dance clubs to be closed for an number of months. It was so bad that the there was three days of mourning after the fire. The dance clubs could only open once the officials were happy with the security measures in the clubs.
Since then control of the clubs has become much more strict. Closing hours are more controlled than before and they often allow less people in the clubs than they can actually fit. There was a list published that displayed the names of clubs that were permitted to open. Some clubs have not re-opened despite being given the go ahead to do so. This city is known as one that does not sleep and clubs will often be open until 06h00 or 07h00.
Economics has affected the club scene in that there are now what are known as slow evenings. Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays are slower than other evenings. On these evenings it is difficult to find clubs and bars that are well populated. Dance clubs are not full enough for people to really enjoy themselves on these evenings.
On the other nights however, the places are really full. It can even be quite difficult to get a drink. Dancing can be quite an experience as there are many people on the dance floor at any given time.
Nightlife In Buenos Aires did pick up after the tragedy as many new clubs opened up once the authorities permitted clubs to open up again. It would seem to be a good idea for patrons to try and frequent the clubs on alternative evenings so that the vibe could once again flourish in this lovely city. Visitors will still have a fantastic time when visiting this beautiful city.
