There is a rumor that Scottsdale is only for retirement and conferences. We’re hear to tell you that you shouldn’t believe everything you hear.

Scottsdale is going to be known for unique concepts. I feel like I’m at Disney with a different theme everywhere I turn. One night we’re watching a live cabaret show at the Jackrabbit Supper Club & Lounge, next we’re have Martini’s & Manicures at Furio, then recovering the next morning with waffles from The Breakfast Club or Monkey Cakes from Orange Table. Then we’re shopping in The Mix, which has every high end brand you can think of and a million that you can’t, followed by watching a live runway show (while eating) in Canal Restaurant with fashions from The Mix on a multi-colored flashing runway snaking perfectly through the restaurant.

Scottsdale feels more like LA than like Arizona. Especially with the arrival of The Mondrian. Yep, same Mondrian that houses the celebs and party goers in West Hollywood. If that’s not your scene and you want something more laid back you can always join Will Smith while he gets ready for his next movie at The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. If that’s not enough there’s always Dive In movies and weekend pool parties at Hotel Valley Ho. Hey, where’s that conference again?
