New Food Obession & Contest: PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter

My name is Kimberly, and I am a PB2 addict! There I said it! It used to be that I was a peanut butter addict, but now- with PB2, I get my craving for PB handled without the added fat!

PB2 is a powdered peanut butter that offers 85% less fat than traditional peanut butter. Even more exciting, the process they use at Bell Plantation to create this amazing PB2 doesn’t involve chemicals, artificial sweeteners or anything you can’t pronounce!

So…a few questions that I know are burning in your brains….

If I’m using All-Natural Peanut Butter, and that’s considered a healthy fat then why the need to use PB2?

All-Natural Peanut Butter is a considered a healthy fat, as long as you adhere to the servings suggested by your nutrition plan, you’re good to go. BUT- sometimes, okay, for me, often I want a snack or a shake that has peanut butter in it. However, my meal plan doesn’t account for a “healthy fat” in that particular meal, maybe post-workout or I may be at a point where I’m only using healthy oils as my fat. So…with PB2 I can have all the taste of peanut butter, without the fat!

What are the Nutrition Facts of PB2 and PB2 with Chocolate?

2 TBSP of PB2 has:

45 Calories, 1.5g Fat, 94mg Sodium, 5g Carbs, 1g Sugar, 2g Fiber and 5g Protein

2 TBSP of PB2 with Premium Chocolate has:

45 Calories, 1g Fat, 70mg Sodium, 6g Carbs, 3g Sugar, 1g Fiber and 4g Protein

just to compare…..

2 TBSP of All-Natural Peanut Butter has:

200 Calories, 16g Fat, 5mg Sodium, 5g Carbs, 1g Sugar, 2g Fiber and 8g Protein

What’s in PB2?

PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter includes, roasted peanuts, salt and sugar (abso-freakin-lutely NO preservatives or artificial sweeteners).

It’s a powder, that doesn’t look like peanut butter?

Yep, it’s a powder- which is perfect for flavoring shakes etc.. But, if you want a peanut butter consistency, just add a little water and stir!

    Hey Guys,
    I would LOVE to try this in one of your shakes – with chocolate & banana. I’m a pb lover like you. The other options would be to try to make a chicken dish – do you have a satay sauce?? YUM! Will try it even if I don’t win. 😉

    I’m excited to use pb2 with my chocolate peanut butter hummus recipe!!!! Simple, easy, and delicious!!!

    Chocolate Chip–Peanut Butter Hummus

    Ingredients:
    1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
    1/2c PB2
    1/4c Sweetener of Choice (Agave, Honey, Stevia, etc.)

    Blend in a food processor until smooth and creamy. : )

    Then, transfer to a bowl and stir in 1/2c some dark chocolate chips!!!

    Serve with apple slices, banana, or fruit of choice!!! Yummy!!!

    Yipee!!!
