Recipe: Spicy Tilapia Tacos

Fish TacosTilapia Tacos

4 Tilapia Filets
1 TBSP Coconut Oil
1 tsp Sea Kosher Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 TBSP Garlic, minced
½ cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
½ cup Green Onions, chopped
½ cup Jalapeno, chopped
½ cup Avocado, diced
½ cup Fresh Salsa (see below)
4 Small Whole Wheat or Corn Tortillas

½ cup Greek Yogurt
1 TBSP Lime Juice
½ tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp Wasabi Powder


  1. Heat a medium frying pan on medium heat. Add the coconut oil and garlic
  2. Season the Tilapia filets with salt and pepper and add to the pan. Cook the filets 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Turn off the heat and break the filets into small pieces. Add the green onions.
  4. To make the sauce, whisk the Greek yogurt, lime juice, salt and wasabi powder.
  5. Assemble the taco by dividing the cooked Tilapia, avocado, jalapeno, salsa and cilantro to each tortilla. Top with small bit of the sauce.

5 Roma Tomatoes, cut into quarters
½ Sweet Onion, rough chopped
1 Orange, juiced
1 Lime, juiced
1 TBSP Kosher Salt
1 TBSP Garlic, minced
1 cup Fresh Cilantro
1-2 TBSP Crushed Red Pepper *optional


  1. Add all of the ingredients into the food processor and pulse until the desired chunkiness.
  2. Taste a sample and adjust the saltiness / spiciness of the salsa to taste.

Replace the Tilapia with the same amount of shrimp, lean beef or even chicken. Also, you can make all three and have lots of variety in one meal!
